Beats for Braille

19 Blind Musicians, One Great Experience.

To celebrate National Volunteer Week, many talented musicians are donating their time to entertain us all and share why braille and literacy is important to them.

These challenging times can dampen our spirits and make things even more challenging to our community, but together we can enjoy music and one another's passion for literacy. From pop and parodies to rap and blues, this music will move you so don't miss it! There will be something for everyone.

A HUGE Thank You to Precious Perez for helping to bring this community of musicians together for an amazing performance.  And to Jack Clancy and the team at Burclan Productions for editing all of the footage to make Beats for Braille a reality!

Did you know that braille isn't just a code for converting print text, it is also used for numerical equations and of course MUSIC?  That's right, many of these musicians use braille music to learn, create, and perform. 

National Braille Press is continuing its commitment to provide access to braille materials and learning tools for blind children and adults.  We have had to slow down production as well as cancel all of our in-person fundraising events through at least June.   Your donation is more critical than ever to help us with day to day operating costs like supporting our prodcution floor employees and remote workforce infastructure during this pandemic.  If you are able, your gift will go a long way in helping us continue our mission.
